RETURN OF SUNDAY MASSES In accord with Governor Little’s plans for a four-stage process for return to normal activities, Bishop Christensen has directed the return of the normal schedule of parish Masses, beginning the evening of this coming Saturday, May 2
nd. The schedule of weekend Liturgies for this coming weekend, May 2-3, is:
St. Agnes, Weiser
Saturday, May 2nd
3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Confessions
5:00 p.m. Sunday Vigil Mass
Sunday, May 3rd
9:00 a.m. Mass
12:00 noon Misa en español
In the Missions—St. Jude and Holy Rosary
Sunday, May 3rd
3:30 p.m. Mass at St. Jude Church, Council
Sunday, May 10th
3:30 p.m. Mass at Holy Rosary Church, Cambridge
Dispensation from the Sunday Obligation is granted to the following persons:
Those 60 years of age or older.
Those who are immunocompromised or otherwise vulnerable.
Those who judge it prudent for their health and safety to remain at home.
This dispensation continues through the end of June, 2020.
(Basically, in this dispensation the Bishop is telling us that all are welcome to come to Mass and every person/family should decide whether it is prudent for them to do so at this time. Any who decides not to attend Mass at this time is excused.)
Protocols:
Social distancing, while gathered in the church, must be maintained.
Our churches—St. Agnes, Holy Rosary, St. Jude—are small. Nonetheless, all those attending Mass should do all that is possible to maintain “social distance.”
Couples and families may sit together.
The faithful may wear face masks to Mass, if they desire.
There is to be no holding or shaking of hands (the Our Father, Sign of Peace)
The faithful are to receive the Body of the Lord (the host) in the hands only.
There will be no distribution of the Precious Blood at this time.
The faithful are not to socially gather before or after Mass.
There will be no social hour after the Sunday 9:00 a.m. Mass (St. Agnes) until further notice.
Lectors and Altar Servers are being assigned to the weekend Mass, as usual. However, any assigned lector or altar server who judges it prudent not to attend or serve is excused. Lectors who so decide are asked to notify the parish office. No communion ministers are assigned at this time.
Weekday Masses The regular schedule of weekday Masses at St. Agnes will resume beginning Monday, May 4
th; namely:
Monday 12:10 p.m.
Tuesday & Wednesday 7:30 a.m.
Friday 12:10 p.m. en español
At Holy Rosary Church, Cambridge—Mass at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, May 6th.
Confessions beforehand in the sacristy, off the sanctuary.
At St. Jude Church, Council—Mass at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 8th.
Confessions beforehand in the basement.
Eucharist Adoration will be on Tuesday, May 5
th, from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. in St. Agnes Church.
The Parish Office will return to its normal hours beginning Monday, May 4th.
